Happy 9 months, baby boy! You've officially been OUT of Momma's belly for the same amount of time that you were IN Momma's belly. It just doesn't even seem possible!
It's CRAZY how much you've grown in 9 short months.
Your 9 month doctor's appointment is next week, but I weighed you last weekend and you were 21 pounds. :-) You wear 12 month clothes and still fit into a size 3 diaper.
You *finally* cut your first two teeth this month! Your bottom two teeth are officially in. They are the cutest two little teeth that I have EVER seen ;-)
You are doing better with eating chunkier finger foods. You LOVE Puffs! I've also started giving you some chunks of fruit diced up, and you seem to do okay with the chunks but it's not your favorite. We have also been introducing a sippy cup of water at meal times. You like to chew on your sippy cup more than anything, but you also seem to like the water when you figure out how to get it out ;-)
You are getting around REALLY well by crawling. You've developed a "speed crawl" and will all but run on your hands and knees to get to something that catches your eye. It's hilarious! You're pulling yourself up on furniture (or anything that you can get a grip on!), and here lately you've been giving me minor heart attacks by starting to let go and stand on your own. You only do this for a few seconds at a time, but it's enough to scare the daylights outta me!
At night time, you are sleeping MUCH better. This is the result of some sleep training we implemented this month. We had come to a place where we ALL needed better sleep, and thankfully we had success with the method we chose. You're back to sleeping through the night, and Momma has remembered how wonderful solid sleep is.
You love to play with your toys, as well as many random objects around the house. You love glass/mirrors because you can see your reflection.
Your little fingerprints are EVERYWHERE, and I have to admit, I get a little emotional when I wipe them away. I wish I could keep you this little always! Notice the fingerprints in this pic? LOL :)
One of your most favorite times of the day is BATH TIME! As soon as you hear me start to fill the tub, you speed crawl to the bathroom, stand up at the tub, and beat on the tub. You've even started lifting your leg up, like you're ready to just jump right in! It's so funny. There's no holding you still or sitting you in a seat of any kind. You are constantly chasing after your tub toys. You also like to suck on your washcloth. It's really funny! I can't wait to see how you like the pool this summer.
You are consistently saying "Mama", "Dada", "Baabaa", and "Uh-oh" :-)
Another month of fun, snuggles, wiggles, giggles, hugs, kisses, and joy has gone by. Life with you just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.
